How to Store Your Ecigs
Date Posted: September 25, 2013
Ecigs are small and compact, making them ideally portable; however, many people don’t store them safely or properly. Improper storage can lead to not only a decrease in the life of the unit, but also irreparable damage. Once the damage has occurred, it may cause the ecigarette to lose its effectiveness or not work at all. Avoid these pitfalls by following our suggestions below!
Places Never to Store an E Cig
We live in a hustle and bustle world where we barely have time to eat and sleep, let alone worry about how and where we’re storing our ecig. This leads to many people improperly storing it for the sake of getting out the door quickly. The easiest thing to do is simply stick it in your pocket. It won’t fall out. It’s within easy reach. Sounds like a good idea, right? Not exactly.
People are constantly moving throughout the day, walking up and down stairs, between buildings, etc; that is a lot of jostling to your ecig. Standing and sitting throughout the day puts pressure on the unit and may end up breaking it. All the jostling could cause e-liquid to leak into the battery. There’s also the worry of germs from whatever may be in your pocket.
When not in use, your batteries should be stored in a dry place free from extreme heat and cold. This is regardless of whether or not they are in a case. Because of potentially extreme temperatures, it’s never a good idea to keep an ecig in the car.
Children and animals should never come into contact with an ecigarette. Use outlets that are out of reach of children and pets during charging, and keep everything out of sight when not in use.
Choose Protective Accessories
A case is the ideal choice for storage. At V2 Cigs, we have many different varieties available that not only keep your ecig safe, but are stylish as well for both men and women. Ideally, the ecigarette is disassembled and placed in the case when not in use. Disassembling it keeps it from accidentally switching on or draining the liquid. Cases are also beneficial for storing extra cartridges and batteries. That way, you’re always ready!
If you don’t have a case, then you can purchase a lanyard to keep around your neck. The ecig has to stay assembled, but at least you’ll always know where it is and it’s much safer than sticking it in your pocket.
Worried about carrying too much stuff around? Cases can be put into your pocket, and lanyards can be worn under your clothes, so your ecig is never too far away! For more information about proper storage, and to see our complete collection of cases, visit www.v2cigs.com.
